1 MOA = 1.047 inch at 100 yards. For most practical purposes you can substitute inches for MOA if your scope specifies MOA at 100 yards. For example: 1/4 MOA at 100 yards = 1/4 inch at 100 yards.
The calculator uses the following formulas:
MOA Clicks = (amount of desired bullet impact location movement / amount of scope movement per click) x (adjustment distance specified on the scope / distance to the target)
MIL Clicks = (amount of desired bullet impact location movement / 0.036) / distance to the target x (1 / scope MIL per click)
The calculator is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied.

Not sure how much bullet drop to expect? Not sure what adjustments are required to adjust zero at different distances?
First, I recommend visiting a range and getting a "real world" answer. Nothing beats empirical data!
If getting out to the range isn't practical or possible, I recommend a free ballistic calculator. For example:
Winchester Ballistics Calculator
The ballistic calculators should be able to answer most of your questions.
If you still have a question, please feel free to contact me. I'm not an expert, but I'll be happy to try and help.
